Every once is a while, when I turn on my truck. There is this loud knocking noise coming from under the hood. After a while of driving, and after its heated up. It stops completely. I also noticed that it seems to be getting worse the colder the weather gets. What could it possibly and is it fixable?

its the main bearings and the only way to repair is to replace them. I would try some lucas oil stabalizer and move to a thinner oil.
