Our 1999 Chevy Suburban fuel pump was replaced around 84K miles. It now has 95k miles and within the last few months we are experiencing difficulty with starting it after it sits for a long period. Sometimes it fires right off with a jump start. A complete tuneup was done and but still the same problem. Unknown if the replacement pump was OEM, could pump be going out or have low pressure? Also had injectors cleaned and had batterey checked. When ignition is turned on I can hear the fuel pump prime. What could be the problem?

So if it sits for a long time, and how much time, it needs a jump? If yes have the battery cables checked, and the charging system checked, if they are OK check for a parasitic drain.
