Everything had been running fine, no noise, no slipping. Started up, shift to Rev and there was nothing, it didn't even feel like it engages. Will go into Drive. Put in Drive stays in 1st until RPM's 4500, then shifts almost like it skipping 2nd. SES light came on, scan code, P0751. Does the Shift Colenoid A also control the Reverse. If not what controls the Rev?

There is a technical service bulliten on your tranny, and the cause of the SEs and code and shift problems are debris stuck in the valve body #11 check valve, it requires inspection and cleaning, I suggest a ggod tranny shop, they may be able to flush it without dropping the pan, of course they might not!
