Electrical problem
1999 Chevy Suburban V8 Automatic

my Suburban is running rich at idle and has a miss , I hook up my scanner to it and it will not communicate with the truck ,It tells me to make sure its turned on or check fuses (witch are all good) or check grounds witch I checked ,and they all show to be hooked up . If I could get the problem with the scanner I should be able to get codes to fix the miss and rich problem.

Most likely you will have to take your vehicle to your local parts store and see if their scanner will download your codes they will do that for free, and then let me know what the codes are.
