What exactly am I supposed to use to get the oil filter off? It is placed akwardly. What kind of oil filter puller should I use and which way should I approach the filter (underneath or above)? Any tricks?

Get it from under the vehicle. Is the filter horozonaly mounted of vertical? A strap wrench should work on either.
