Car is 1997 Suburban 5.7L
I know how to change a fuel filter, and have done so.
I have also changed other things with steel lines and compression fittings such as camshaft driven fuel pumps, brakes, etc.
What I never want to do again is round off the nut holding the line onto--in this case the filter.
I am using a 5/8" line wrench, and it seems like it just does not want to turn. I have sprayed oil on it over some days, now. Different kinds. Today I bought a new can that advertises it is special penetrating oil.
I got to wondering if maybe it was metric. I did the conversion on the computer and 5/8 is between 15mm and 16mm. The 15mm wrench is too big.
Any advice???
