1997 Chevy Suburban will it fit

Transmission problem
1997 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Will a 1997 blazer 4l60e tranny fit my suburban. I was told that my tranny is a 1st generation, this other tranny is a 2nd or 3rd generation. Why wouldn't it fit?

It may bolt in but I don't believe it will work. The transmission is designed to work differently than the 1st Generation. The VSS, shift sensors... will not work with your computer.
