1997 Chevy Suburban V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130k miles

w.hen i start my truck it idles fine, sometimes it takes a little cranking. when i put it in gear it dies and the abs and brake lights come on before it dies. also the check engine light flashes. when i can keep it running it will almost die and then pick up again and take off
