1997 Chevy Suburban brake lights

when the brake petal is pushed, the brake lights do not light up. no fuses are blown. when the headlights are on, the running brake lights are on, but when the brakes are pushed they do not get brighter.

You will have to inspect the brake light switch, this is normally located on the top of the brake pedal, it my just need adjusting, or it may be faulty. have tested.
