1997 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 116k miles

how do i drain fluid from transmission? i dont see a plug anywhere

Actually, to drain the transmission, you need to remove the transmission pan on the bottom of the transmission. WHen you do it, loosten all of the bolts about 1/4". After that, work on one side so the the pan only opens on the one side. That way fluid will only pour out that side and not all over the place.
