I need help please. When I push the brake and when I take my foot off the brake I hear a "thock" type noise. Someone told me I need the upper control arms replaced. Is that somwthing that would happen if the ccontrol arms need to be replaced? Also, when I turn there is a popping noise. Not all the time, mostly when I turn to the left. Any advise and help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Bad CA bushings can do that, brake pad moving in the caliper can also do this. Have one person drive and brake (5mph at the most), while another gets a side view of the action. IF the wheel moves back in relation to the body, it is likley a control arm bushing problem.
