1995 Chevy Suburban she aint runnin right

my suburban is running rich sucking too much gas and there was a braided copper wire that broke off during an exhaust job what can i do where is the wire hooked to?

If it was a braded wire, that is a ground strap for the body. It will have a clip on both ends. Check around for where it broke and then repair and replace.

As far as fuel consumption, has the check engine light come on?
