1993 Chevy Suburban wipers wont move

I am trying to get the wiper "arms" off so that I can hook the linkage bar back up to the blade arms and the motor. The motor still works and the fuse is not blown, and you can hear where they are just disconnected with the motor. My questions is, how do I take the arms off so that I can get the bar connected again?

theres a special tool they sell at autopart stores i would use that other then messing around with screwdrivers.
