1992 Chevy Suburban throttle position sensor

If the throttle position sensor is bad would it effect
the performance of the fuel pump? giving me the
impression that the fuel pump needed to be replaced due to low output?

The TPS has nothing to do with fuel pressure, if its low pressure problem consider replacing it-after you check the injectors and fuel pressure regulator are not leaking to include the fuel pump check valve.
