Transmission problem
1990 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 1990 chev suburban 1500 4 wheel drive 5.7 16 bolt pan 700 r4. a while back the trans started shifting hard, then go super soft, then back to hard. then it wouldnt shift till it almost redlined a couple of times then it will shift when u lift the pedal..then seemed to do ok..changed fluid and filter helped a little bit ..now it wont shift out of first even manually. this started after i put slick 50 in it..before slick 50 no problems at all..I KNEW BETTER..

I work at a transmission shop for a long time, maybe too long, I've seen this scenario a couple of hundred times, people have a transmission problem they come into the shop want the transmission service and the vehicle never leaves the shop after that, for some reason when you neglect the transmission to the point that you start having problems the worst things you can do is service the transmission, especially flush it, I cannot explain it and I think the transmission goes into shock and says something like "you don't tell me" " I tell you"

Try "Lube Gard"Napa is the only place i could fine it,for 13 dollars its worth a try.
My truck was shifting hard to and i put it in my Chevy suburban and mind shift fine now
