1989 Chevy Suburban brake

i have a 89 suburban and i had my brake ligth on for almost a year i got it from a friend i cant find anything that would make the ligth stay on i replaced the brake ligth swigth and also all the bulb and my brakes work good

pull up on the parking brake pedal and see if the light goes out. If not then there may be a master cylinder or ABS problem if you have ABS. If it's got ABS it can be a bad sensor, wire, or anything similar...
