1984 Chevy Suburban gas gauge not working

i have a gas gauge that has completely dropped to bottom and doesnt fluctuate at all my oil pressure gauge also doesnt work. can these be linked? should i just drop the gas tank and change everything or could there be a simpler solution?

Would be more inclined to check instrument cluster.
