I have a 99 chevy z71 5.3l with 130,000 miles and a flowmaster muffler that just does not have the power it use to have. I replaced the spark plugs, fuel filter and replaced the air filter with a k&n. I really notice the loss of power when I accelerate. I think a geo could out run me. Any thoughts?

Did it have this problem before you changed those items you mentioned? Does it smoke when you are racing a geo?( Just kiddin' about the geo) Make sure you don't oil the KN air filter too much. The oil could suck into the intake and clog the mass air flow sensor (MAF). What type of plugs did you use? Check the resistance on the plug wires. If bad replace with AC/DELCO only. They are a little more expensive, I know, but after market wires for some reason do not work on these ignition systems. Trust me
