2007 Chevy Silverado Door handles

I would like to replace my stock door handles with new ( painted ) stock door handles. Does anyone know how to remove the exiisting door handles. Thanks in advance for any help with my problem

Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement

Preliminary Procedures
Position the door window as needed for service.
Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

Front Side Door Lock Rod Retaining Clip

Tip

Remove the rubber grommet to access the bolts.
Plug in the window switch and raise the window.
Release the handle lock rod from the door lock.
Release the door handle lock cylinder rod.

Front Side Door Outside Handle Lock Rod

Front Side Door Outside Handle Bolt (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N Â m (80 lb in)

Front Side Door Outside Handle

Tip
Transfer the handle lock rod to the new handle.
