Recently, I could smell burnt electronic components/wire through my ac vent. After a while the fan quite blowing. I turned the AC off and waited about 5 minutes and turned it back on - it worked fine for 2 weeks. The same exact thing happened again today. After a short wait it began working again and the distinct smell goes away. Any ideas?

Check the blower resistor and wiring connector near the blower motor. They usually melt together and cause the blower to stop.
