i have OBDII hand held code scanner that will not work on my truck. the parts store salesperson said that because it is not showing anything at all when you plug it in that there might be a fuse blown in the system. what fuse would it be under and is it possible that connection was now wired up right

It's powered by the cigarette lighter fuse, 15amp.
