Transmission problem
2006 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

When this vehicle was in 4 wheel drive recently, we seem to have slipped into Neutral and I had to put in 4 low to continue. Transmission over heated then cooled. When I felt I could take it out of 4 wheel drive, I shifted to 2 H and contineued for 150 miles no problem. Suddenly when 2 h it felt that I slipped into neutral again. At this moment I have reverse, no drive but can manually shift first to second and second to third.

First thing to do is check the fluid level and color, red is what you want, not brown...also scan it for any tranny codes, running for to long, and too fast in 4 low, it may have cooked a sensor for tranny fluid temp, or a shift solenoid.
