2006 Chevy Silverado Air Bag

My air bag light comes on sometimes for days and sometimes it stays off for days (yellow dash) light
and it shows service air bag soon on the display when the light come on.

Hi
When light is on need to have checked for codes to see what is fault. System is self diagnostic and is finding fault with a component. With light on system will not deploy in accident.
