is the coolant in the passenger side floor? do you notice a slight filmy substance on the windshield if heater is on defrost? if so suspect faulty heater core. if not then check heater hoses running to heater core, if one is loose or damaged it will leak coolant into floorboards.

thats what i was thinking ,but no coolant yet.do i have to take dash apart to check hoses?

To check the hoses remove the access panel nut near the pollen filter.
Remove the access panel.
Inspect the hoses and also check the water flow control valve.

I had this problem with my previous 05 Silverado, and finally found that the firewall seal near the brake master cylinder was not tight.
