Suspension problem
2005 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Slight knocking shock felt in the steering wheel in slower speeds. especially when turning while excellerating or going over rough spots while excellerating. Vehicle only has 34,000 miles on it. Grabbed hold of tire rod ends, steering linkage, etc. Could not seem to get any play out of it?

You need to replace the steering intermediate shaft. The shaft binds up causing a knock type noise in the steering.
