2005 Chevy Silverado speedometer not working

started driving my speed hand wasn't working after a couple of stops it started working parked for the night now it is not working again

Connect a scan tool and see if the tool recognizes the VSS (vehicle speed senor) via the PCM. If it does, the cluster is bad.
