I just recently bought My 2005 Silverado as is no warranty. I 've had it for about 2 weeks now and started realizing that when im idlind in traffic or in park, the engine will idle down to about 500 rpms and start to hesitate like its going to stall. Only does this when the engine idles. Could this be a coil pack going bad or an idle switch?

Try cleaning out the throttle bore around the butterfly with carb cleaner and a rag. If your truck is "drive by wire" (no throttle cable) it doesnt have an IAC (Idle Air Control) motor. If it has a cable, there is a IAC that you can remove and clean with carb cleaner as well, it is located on the throttle body, this will also help stabilize the idle.It is held in with 2 Torx screws
