2005 Chevy Silverado axle replacement

Loud clicking from driver side rear wheel. I jacked it up, there is 1/4 turn of slack. can I just change on side or should I do both? Do you have downloadable diagram of rear end assembly?

Is the noise from the differential or an axle bearing?
