Y is my silverado overheating after i cahnged the waterpump

i would go back make sure all hoses, are hooked up, and not kinked. also make sure that the cooling system is bleed of air which coudl be traped in there.

with the engine hot squeeze upper hose, does pressure build and can you feel water flow by?
