2004 Chevy Silverado Loud scrapping noise

2004 Chevy Silverado V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi, my Chevy Silverado started making this loud scrapping noise, it seems to be a rotating noise that gets louder and faster as I excellerate and when I slow down the noise slows down.. When I take turns it scrapes really loud.. its loudest when I'm going up hills or turning.. I do not know much about trucks and repairing them and anyone I ask says it may be my brakes going? please help thanks!!
