Just bought 2004 silverado 4.3 v6 5 speed manual 4wd with 43000 miles. The clutch engages about 2 or 3 inches off the floor. Is this mormal? I checked the fluid and the cap was loose and very little fluid remained. I topped it of off with brake fluid and secured the cap with same results. Could I have air in the system?

Actually, that is normal. These clutches are not adjustable. If you grabs that early, the clutch is still in good condition.
