2003 Chevy Silverado transmission service

I am trying to service my transmission, but I am running into a little problem. I can't get the pan to drop because of a shift linkage bracket that is mounted to the top of the tranny. What are the tricks to servicing my transmission.

Remove the shift linkage bracket. It is bolted on with torx screws. T40
