Electrical problem
2003 Chevy Silverado Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 03 3500 silverado diesel. My ignition switch will not turn past the lock position, so pretty much it wont turn at all. The owners manual says to make sure you are using the right key ("duh") otherwise they say the vehicle needs service. Thats bull! Is there anything that I can do to get my switch to turn and my truck to crank?

Sometime the steering can get in a "bind" and lock the key. Pull on the steering wheel all the way to the left and keep trying to turn the wheel after it hits the locking point and try turning the key.

If this does not help, there is probably a fault in the ignition switch.
