2002 Chevy Silverado Whining Noise From Rear ENd

Hello Car Pro's!
Have a 02 Chevy 2500hd. Got a whine coming from rear end when i step on it at lower speeds.(10-20mph) At the same time the rear end shimmies. Without taking rear cover off i was going to order a loaded carriar bearing and the shim kit to replace. IS there anything else i should be looking for? Also i called to price a shim kit and bearing. Said was no shims for this rear end? Any help please.

Before ordering anything, check the fluid to make sure it isn't contaminated with water or something other. You may have a bearing problem.
