front differienal won"t disengage from the 4 wheel drive position, althoughl the manual transfer case is disengaged to a 2 wheel position. " I have confirmed that by having jacked the front wheel and
saw the front driveshaft rotating, installed a newer
front axel shift motor, problem is still there

does light on dash indicate 4x4 turning off? try driving reversing to see if it will disengage first.
