Possible bad injection pump, very common problem on these. The pump is very delicate, any dirt or contamination ruins these pumps. What steps did you take to get it started? Also scan for codes and take a vacuum reading at the fuel rail, should be 8psi, or use a scan tool and monitor vacuum on the scan tool should be 1-1.8 mpa. Check for any fuel contamination and ice blockage at the fuel pump lines. And excessive fuel in the crankcase which would cause low or no compression. Post back with what you find.

The most common problem on the D-MAX is a restricted or leaking fuel filter. The fuel filter MUST be replaced every 15,000 miles. They are very sensitive to contamination. If there are any leaks at the filter or anywhere on the supply side, air will get in the fuel system and cause a hard or no start. Try removing the black plastic plug from the filter housing, then pump the primer button until you get a steady stream of fuel. Install the plug. Pump the primer about 10 to 20 more times, then try to start the engine.
