Electrical problem
2002 Chevy Silverado 6 cyl Automatic 208,00 miles

just had an oil change at walmart, every thing was running well on the truck when I went in there. they checked battery and it was ok, i drove maybe 5/10 of a mile and battery light came on and i wAS READING neg. 0n the gauge., lights dim and engine stop running,

When the techs tested the battery could they have caused damage to the alternator if they cross polarized terminals? (maybe not the correct term)
on the side of the road stalled.

If they crossed the battery's polarity, it could have damaged the alt / wiring...
