2001 Chevy Silverado synthetic oil

I was thinking about switching to a synthetic oil, and I wanted to know if I could switch over and which would better a semi-syntheic or a full synthetic on my 2001 chevy Z71 with around 100,000 miles?

If it has been run on regular oil and you are looking to upgrade I would go with a semi sythetic. Mobil makes an extended milege blend that has always worked well in the vehicles I've worked on.
