2001 Chevy Silverado Knock sensor

I was told my truck has 2 knock sensors and the intake maifold must be removed. Is this true and are there any other things I should condsider while the manifold is off ina truck with 125k miles.

Yes that is true, there are two knock sensors under the intake manifold. Water builds up on the manifold and the sensors end up rusting.

With 125,000 miles a major tune-up is always a good idea if you haven't already done one.
