HI I put my key in the ignition, itwill not turn, also the steering wheel will not lock in place.

I have a manual for my truck , and it looks like I will need a new key cylinder, but it said I need to advance the key to the on setting (the key will not turn) can I pop out the ignition switch assly. with a puller, or drill it out ? Thanks for your time..

Don't laugh, but have you tried a different key? I have experienced times when the key has actually worn out. As far as removing the tumbler, you need to first remove the steering wheel and a few other items to remove it. Also, because of the year, you have an air bag to deal with and if the tumbler is replaced, you will need to have the factory alarm reset to accept and recognize the new system.
