2001 Chevy Silverado gas gauge

I bought a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 crew cab and the gas gauge doesn't work.I had a sending unit put in and it still doesn't work.Any suggestions as to what the problem may be.

If it was replaced, either you have a wiring issue, body control module issue, or the gauge itself is bad.

Has anyone checked wiring?
