I'm having a problem with the heater in my truck getting stuck on in the highest setting. If I turn the temp up to the highest setting and then try to back it down once the inside is warmed up it will continue to blow out hot air. The problem seems to reset itself between trips. I'm wondering if this is the switch, the heater core or something else?

Sounds like a vacuum porting in your temp selector switch. When you turn the truck off, the vacuum releases and then you start over again when you restart the truck.
