2000 Chevy Silverado oil burning

What are reasons my truck would be burning oil. It seems to run perfect just burns oil. Is it something I need to get checked out

I would definitely get it checked out because burning oil means you're going to be constantly adding oil to the engine costing you money. It might be a gasket in the engine that needs replaced.
