2000 Chevy Silverado new muffler

I just got a new 80 series flowmaster muffler (part #42583). It has 1 inlet and 2 outlets. My Chevy 2500 p/u has 2 inlets and 1 outlet. CanI install this on my truck by sqeezing both pipes into the one inlet with a y pipe and come out with dual exhaust.

I do think that you will have back pressure problems i would not be doing this.
