Heater problem
2000 Chevy Silverado 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was informed by a repair shop that my heater core was clogged. They want to charge me 1200 dollars to fix it. Is this something i can fix myself or should i pay.

if its not leakign and just plugged try to flush it out.

take and disconnect the hoeses and then right on a fitting for your garden hose and turn on the water.

keep it flushing till it cleans out the core.

but if the core is too blocked up and the heater core needs replacign 1200 isnt too bad.

the vehicle has to have the dash taken apart to get at the thing.

and ac system discharged.
