2000 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2000 silverado with an 2001 avalanche rear end. Can you use the silverados axle to the avalanche rear end?

The body style wouldn't determine that. What would is that they are both equipped with the same capacity differential which can be determined by the 3 digit RPO code.
