1999 Silverado won't start

I couldn't start truck even with jumper cables- starter just clicks.
replaced starter. Just clicks but won't turn over. Replaced starter relay -wouldn't turn over. Used jumper cables and it started. Took it around block and everything was fine. Shut off motor and it won't restart even with jumpers. Any ideas? Thanks, John

I am working on a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 with a 4.8 liter v-8. Truck wouldn't start-just clicked.I replaced the starter and it still didn't start- it just clicked. Next I replaced the starter relay in the fuse box. It tried to turn over but was very slow so I used jumper cables. It started and I ran it around the block. When I got back I shut off the engine and now it won't start even with Jumpers. Any ideas? Thanks, John

You may have a wire thats shorting out somewhere along the lines thats causing the problem
