Have a 99 silverado with 4.8, always starts on second attempt cold or hot. Checked fuel pressure: 50 psi, :60 psi when fuel pressure regulator vacuum line removed. After engine is shut off pressure drops from
50 psi to 0 in about 30 seconds. Can also hear hissing in fuel tank after shut down. I'm thinking the fuel check valve in the tank is shot. Should I check anything else before I run the tank near empty and pull the fuel pump?

Thanks
Dan
