Engine Cooling problem
1999 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

A squirrell was in my engine this morning. The squirrell broke four of my fan blades. I purchased a new fan, and rented the tool to remove old fan clutch. I cannot remove the old fan clutch. Took the tool back to autozone and they gave me another one to try. Still does not work Help Bruce Walter

The fan clutches on gm trucks are a bear sometimes. If u stop by a local shop and ask a mechani to knock it off they usually will for ya. At work I use an air chissel and a long flat tip bit and just tap it a bit and it pops right off. If you cant drive the truck then your best bet is some good penetrating oil and patients. A hamer and a log chisel will also work if you still cant get it loose.
