1999 Chevy Silverado Driveshaft

I replaced yhe U Joints and had problems getting the correct parts. When installing the driveshaft and tightening the straps and bolts at the pinion the U Joint caps just slip through. Help!!!!!

If the caps slip through the u-bolt, you must have the wrong u-joint. Double check with the parts store.
